We never finished this book. Jet lag, sinusitis, heat, humidity, and long car rides played a role, but the week stayed with me. I have never experienced a world so different to the one I got used to.

There are actually two books that need finishing. The book with Lupi and Jumbo, and the book I produced with my workshop participants. The stories they told me through their illustrations gave me an intimate relationship with them, their lives and what they see that can’t be put into words. A glimpse into a life I haven’t lived, but felt.
